"Feelms" about LUST

1. "In the Realm of the Senses" (Nagisa Oshima, 1976).

Synopsis: A couple of lovers live a love story carried to unimaginable limits. The passion has taken possession of them. Sex has become the only important part of their lives. The desire of the woman to possess his man seems inexhaustible and grows more and more until they both come to confuse pleasure with pain.

Franco-Japanese coproduction (partly to circumvent the more than likely censorship of the Japanese authorities -as it happened- the edition was made in France). The film is considered a cult work in the world erotic cinema, as much by its subject as by the explicit sexual images. Therefore, there is nothing more to say: essential.

2. "Eyes Wide Shut" (Stanley Kubrick, 1999).

Synopsis: William Harford (Tom Cruise) is a respected New York doctor whose life seems to be going well: he is married to a beautiful woman, he has a daughter and he has a job he likes. But the day after attending a party, his wife Alice (Nicole Kidman) talks about erotic fantasies and how she nearly broke his marriage because of a stranger. Overwhelmed by this confession, he ends up entering a room where an old companion tells him about a secret congregation dedicated to hedonism and unlimited pleasure. From then on a world dominated by sex and erotism opens up before him.

A movie that created a great controversy in its premiere, raised by the fact that its protagonists were then married in the real life ... Tremendously mysterious and powerfully seductive, perhaps a little slow in the development of the history. Different work of the iconoclastic Kubrick, everyone must watch it.

3. "And Your Mother Too" (Alfonso Cuarón, 2001).

Synopsis: Although they belong to very different social classes, Julio and Tenoch are great friends. At a party they meet Luisa, a depressed Spanish girl married to a cousin of Tenoch's. To overcome the crisis, Luisa decides to accompany the two boys on a trip without a fixed course. The adventure will test your friendship and mark your lives forever.

Nominated to the Oscar for Best Foreign Film in 2002, it shows the outstanding talent of the great Mexican director Alfonso Cuarón. With very natural performances, a script that goes "in crescendo" and a vibrant soundtrack, this "feelm" speaks about the search of our site in life, about living each moment to the full and about the continuous learning that entails being alive. Beyond the very well-done sex scenes (attention to the start), the film stays in your mind for its high quality in all aspects.

4. "Lucía and the Sex" (Julio Medem, 2001).

Synopsis: Lucía is a young woman who works as a waitress in the center of Madrid. After the mysterious disappearance of her boyfriend Lorenzo, a writer, she decides to leave to the calm island of Formentera. The freedom she feels there leads her to face the darkest aspects of her past relationship, as if it was a novel.

Characteristic work of Medem, deep, very iconic and visual and not easily understandable. With lust and nudity as the center of attention, we immerse ourselves in the intimate world of the protagonist, Lucia, until we become part of her desires and fears, as if we were part of her dream. Intriguing "feelm".

5. "9 Songs" (Michael Winterbottom, 2004).

Synopsis: In London, love arises between Lisa, an American student and Matt, a young British scientist. In the course of a few months, and always with the backdrop of their common taste for attending rock concerts, we will witness the intense sexual encounters of the two lovers.

A story of passionate love, youth, discovery, freedom, lust. Note: the sex between the protagonists is 100% real (and it shows).
